Grab your Hat and Run for the Roses

Known as “the most exciting two minutes in sports,”  The Kentucky Derby is also one of the most romantic.  Traditions such as mint juleps, handmade hats, and red roses blanketing the winning horses have all become hallmarks. First held in 1876, Derby has been staged every first Saturday of May since 1946 – with two exceptions – World War II and the Coronavirus  pandemic. This year, Derby is back with full force for May 7th — that’s this Saturday! Hold on to your hats!

Speaking of hats, what are you wearing to turn heads at The Churchill Downs?  Are you forgetting your fascinator?  We’ve got your Derby look covered at Carl Meyers, where we specialize in equestrian fashion.  Among our in-house Milliners CM is proud to carry Kathleen & Keegen’s European influenced designs.
